THREE DOMAINS

Society. Education. Economic Development.

Three systems that should reinforce one another have drifted apart. SEED works at the intersection of all three, because no single domain can produce generational flourishing on its own.

The ecosystem of mediating institutions that shape civic and moral life

ROOT SYSTEM

What holds everything up

Families, schools, faith communities, employers, and local leadership networks form the connective tissue of civic life. When these institutions weaken, families lose the structural support that makes flourishing possible. SEED strengthens the mediating institutions closest to the person, serving as the soil in which individual agency grows.

KEY OUTCOMES

  • Household stability: two-parent household formation and retention
  • Civic participation and local leadership development
  • Leadership pipelines developed from within communities
  • Cultural continuity through faith-business-family partnerships

POLICY DIRECTIONS

  • Covenant marriage strengthening programs
  • Community recognition initiatives for family-forward cities
  • Faith-business partnerships for workforce and character formation
  • Civic leadership pipelines rooted in local institutions

THE ALIGNMENT PROBLEM

Three Systems, One Structural Failure

Oklahoma’s schools produce graduates without clear pathways into meaningful work. Employers struggle to find skilled labor. Young parents face economic precarity that makes family formation feel like a risk rather than a foundation. Civic associations that once knit communities together are weakening.

These are symptoms of a single structural failure: the institutions responsible for society, education, and economic life have stopped talking to each other. SEED exists to rebuild those connections. Deliberately, measurably, and with institutional durability.

THE INTEGRATION

Every Domain Depends on the Others

An economy that produces family-sustaining wages but educates poorly still fails. Schools that form character but graduate students into economic precarity still fail. Strong civic institutions without workforce pathways still fail. SEED’s proposition is that all three domains must be deliberately aligned, and that alignment must be designed and built with intention.
